Dave's Supermarket was built and founded on Christian principles in 1950 when Dave and Emma Lou Steffen opened the doors at this same location. The store was only 3,800 sq. ft. and they had three employees.

Together they worked hard to deal honestly with all customers and to give quality service to everyone. In 1975 their children decided to join the business, and that was the year of a major remodel. The building has been remodeled and enlarged five times. With God's blessings and surrounding themselves with dedicated team members the business has slowly increased to 145 employees and the building is now over 40,000 sq. ft.
